The saddle straps are in fair condition, a couple of stitches are missing from one. The ring of the girth strap has some surface rust but could be cleaned up.. The case closes with a billet fastening. It is lined in doeskin but this has worn on the inside of the lid. There is an interior partition. It would have once held a sandwich tin and small flask, but could be used
